Weekly update 9 April

Easter Recess means no Parliamentary business in the House of Commons. Instead I had a brilliant couple of weeks in Camden and travelling round the country for local election launches. Continue reading

Weekly update 5 April

From laying out the key tests the government needs to meet in leaving the European Union, to campaigning in Manchester and - of course - in the Gospel Oak by-election, this has been as busy a period as ever. I hope you find this update of my activities useful. Please get in touch with me at my office if there is anything you want to raise with me. All the very best, Keir Continue reading

Weekly Update 21 March 17

This week I've managed to get to St Albans, Bermondsey and Southwark, as well as several events in Camden. These included meeting constituents concerned about Brexit and a group of our members who are under 22. Meanwhile, campaigning is already under way in the Gospel Oak by-election. Do lend a hand if you can! Best wishes Keir   Continue reading

Review of 2016

There can be no doubt that 2016 will go down as one of the truly defining years of the 21st century. It has been an incredibly busy year nationally with the victory of Sadiq Khan in London and the EU referendum, but also internationally with events such as the refugee crisis and the election of Donald Trump. Throughout 2016 I have been busy doing the usual work of an MP in my weekly surgeries, which have given me the chance to meet with so many residents of Holborn & St Pancras. Furthermore I have been working closely with the HS2 campaign groups to fight for the best possible scheme for everyone in our constituency. I am now the Shadow Secretary of State for exiting the European Union. The government’s decision not to undertake any preparations whatsoever for a vote to leave has left the country without a plan and the government without a direction. The role of the opposition is crucial and I am pleased to say that I have a wonderful team and we have much to do in 2017.       In a final look back over 2016, I have pulled together some of the most interesting images of the year, ranging from the Calais migrant camp to some of the campaigning drives we have all worked so hard on. All the best for the festive season and good wishes for the year ahead! Keir    -- Continue reading

Update, 14th December 2016

This has been a very busy week for us all. We had an Opposition Day debate last Wednesday that called for the Government to publish a plan for Brexit before Article 50 is invoked. It was a real win for us as MPs voted by a large majority for the Labour motion and finally forced the Prime Minister to change her mind. Continue reading
