“I know its not an election - we just came round to meet you, and discuss issues in your neighbourhood."
That was the message from Labour members who were on the Bourne Estate near Hatton Garden on Saturday as part of the local Labour Party's regular Action Day schedule, where 30 or so activists meet up for a full day of doorstep discussions with residents.
It was a chance for local people to take up questions about their area with Keir Starmer, or Councillors Sue Vincent and Julian Fulbrook.
This stunning garden shown below is at Gooch House.
Its all the work of local people, working with Adelaide Winion, who lives in the block.
“I just ask for a donation £1 a month, to buy plants,” she told Sue, when they met at her door.
For lunch we walked to Red Lion square - enjoying tortillas in the Cafe in the park where Keir met up with Holborn Voice for an interview, which you can read here.
